I thought a textured abstract painting would be an excellent idea. So I bought wood, paper mache, and acrylics paints. I sat up the canvas (wood) by a tree for support and flung paper mache on the piece of wood in a random pattern. It dried for two days before painting it. First I covered it with black for a base coat, then an aqua-blue, then I dry brushed lighter tones of aqua-blue so the texture would be more detailed. Then I added hints of its complement (orange) and dry brushed the orange with yellow to give it a glow look and to give the whole painting more liveliness.

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
